In honor of my 50th book of 2010, I am giving away a $20 gift certificate to Amazon. The only hitch is you have to suggest a book for me to read in your comment.
(And here is where I can test how well you read my blog because you can't suggest something I have already reviewed this year.)
I will keep this contest going until Tuesday at 9 a.m. so the three people who read this blog will have plenty of time to post.
Good luck! (And make sure you leave your email address with your comment!)

Does it have to be something recently published?
I'm first!! :)
I recently finished The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. I really enjoyed it. And I don't THINK you've read it yet.
1st choice is Being Ourself by Ty Clement...a must have. (hug) or Knocked up, Knocked Down by Monica Murphy Lemoine
Both recently published (Being Ourself last Spring during our personal sh*! storm of loss, and KUKD in the past few months.
ENJOY!!!
Oh Gosh I am nervous...I don't think you have read this one. Beach Music by Pat Conroy. One of my all time faves. Or the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers....can't remember the names of the individual books.
I think you should read The Little Stranger because I want to know what you would think about the ending. I'm pretty sure you haven't read it, but if you have I will feel sheepish since I have been reading your reviews and that would mean my mind is slipping. Which it very well may be. Anyway, I think you should read TLS.
"City of Bells" by Elizabeth Goudge
OK, it's 70 years old but it's nostalgic and sweet and happy-ever-after (and even somewhat Christian).
"Slipstream" by Elizabeth Jane Howard. A literary autobiography (she shacked up with Kingley Amis and is a great novelist).
"The Light Years" by Elizabeth Jane Howard - similar to "The Chamomile Lawn" but a bit grittier.
Something by Jilly Cooper. "Imogene"/"Octavia"/"Prudence" for chick-lit (the grandma of "shopaholic") or "Riders"/"Rivals"/"Polo" for a bonk-feast saga
MiddleSex by Jeffrey Eugenides....I think you will like! Greek culture, city of Detroit...
Jodi Picoult Plain Truth AWESOME BOOK
I suggest you read "Shout Down the Moon" by Lisa Tucker. I just read it in one evening, and enjoyed it.
crazy love and/or forgotten God by Francis Chan.
(you know it had to be good to hold my ADD brain's attention long enough to finish)
Great giveaway!
I suggest "Goodnight Moon". It's a classic. I find it disturbing when... oh, I don't want to give it away! Read it & we'll discuss!
Not that I read much but these are on my list (and no I didin't bother to go look if you have reviewed them. If you have, tell me so I can see if you liked them.!)
Didn't I Feed You Yesterday? A Mother's Guide to Sanity in Stilettos
The Help
The Road By Cormac McCarthy
I didn't think I could comment because I don't read novels really. However, I do read parenting books etc. I SUPER recommend the book "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk". If you haven't read it, it's SUCH a nice book. It really taught me how to deal with the kid's so they feel listened to and not judged and made to feel like their feeling don't matter. It has helped with tantrums tremendously!
Hope you haven't read this one... LOL I would like to suggest "My Enemy's Cradle" by Sara Young. :)
The Wheel of Fortune by Susan Howatch. It's long, but well worth the read; almost everyone in Jesse's family reads it every 5 years!
Pick me! Pick me! ;)

Have you read Summer Sisters: Judy Blume It's a fun, easy read and kind of nostalgic since it's a Judy Blume book. It's an adult book. I enjoyed it.
