I hate writing clever titles.
What do you do when you start reading a book and it doesn't grab you? It used to be that I felt guilty unless I finished it. Nowadays, I cut myself some slack and move on. I've got a pile of books to read so there is no sense in wasting time on one that doesn't grab me. Most recently I tried reading Ten Year Nap by Meg Wolitzer. I read through 60 pages and I still wasn't interested in the characters. I think part of my issue is that Wolitzer uses minimal spoken dialogue and instead relies heavily on internal dialogue. After awhile, I felt like I was reading one long run on sentence. I am hoping the next book in the pile will hold my interest to the end.
